Foliage:Solitary rosettes forms on stems that are not visible. In juvenile plants two-ranked and the spiral arrangement only appears after a few years of growth. The best known example of an aloe species making a transition from a fan-leaved juvenile to a rosette-shape adult . Leaves are bluish-green in colour, varies from dull green to a dusky ,purplish green , leaf-margins are armed with sharp brown teeth. Leaf tips are often red in colour especially in hot dry weather. will even flower while leaves are stll arranged in the Fan shape but will eventually take on the rosulate arrangement.
Flower Color: Up to three simple inflorescences are borne from the plant simultaneously. Racemes are long and narrow and appear to have a silvery sheen.Flowers are pinkish-red in colour, cylindrical in shape.
Soil Requirements : found on rocky slopes
Water needs: Careful watering.

Other Details: Aloe suprafoliata can be found in Mpumalanga, northen KwaZulu-Natal and Swaziland. In habitat Aloe suprafoliata ca be found on rocky slopes and it is exposed to low tempertures and mist. Aloe suprafoliata can be confused with Aloe pretoriensis when not in flower. Aloe suprafoliata when in flower can easily be identified by its racemes that have a silvery sheen, rounded flower bracts and simple inflorescence.
