Foliage: Unbranched trees to over 10 feet high (3-4 m), hard and robust ,The stems are protected by a skirt of dry leaves,the long boat-shaped leaves are usually erect and sometimes recurved in the upper 3rd section. The Leaves bear scattered teeth on both surfaces but some forms the surfaces is entirely smooth, leaf margins are armed with sharp,brownish teeth.
Flower Color: Orange to Red or Yellow flowers or a combination of thereoff in winter or spring in the case of specimens from very cold area's . inflorescenes are divided into a number of horizontal branches on wich flowers are carried in an upright position,this is one of the few South African aloes that carries its flowers on horisontal side branches
Soil Requirements : Well drained soil

Other Details: Aloe marlothii var. marlothii is the northern bushveld equivalent of Aloe Ferox. it is prone to snout beetle attacks.
